The Role
An opportunity currently exists for a highly energetic Branch Manager to join our Building Projects Team in Wollongong. The environment will suit a results driven 'all-rounder' who has a practical outcome driven approach and a strong client focus.
Reporting to the State Manager, this dynamic role is responsible for successful and safe delivery of Property Services operations through the effective management of administrative tasks, people and scheduling to maximise Programmed Property Services customer satisfaction and profitability. In addition, the role is also responsible for capitalising on Property Services operational success by generating cross sell opportunities and winning additional work.
Responsibilities
Asset Management
Oversees the efficient allocation of Programmed Property Services Property and Equipment (P&E) to employees and subcontractors.
Ensures all employees and subcontractors are equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to operate P&E in a safe and efficient manner.
Reviews P&E allocations on a regular basis to maximise utilisation of equipment and minimise capital expenditure wastage.
Undertakes regular audits of all P&E to ensure that all P&E are serviced regularly and are safe for operations. Takes corrective actions as required.
Ensures that all P&E servicing is undertaken in accordance with company policy and procedures and that any scheduled downtime with P&E is reflected in operational scheduling.
Business Development and Customer Management
Operates within PPS Sales strategies to grow the business in existing and new markets to enhance financial performance, growth and revenue across the Property Services business.
Operates within PPS policies and processes to support customer retention.
Develops and maintains key industry association local contacts.
Reviews estimates to ensure overall margin and operational objectives are met.
Promotes Programmed and delivers improved sales results through cross-selling activity.
Promotes the Programmed and Property Services profile through conference presentations and other external based activity.
Develops and implements specific marketing and communications strategies within region.
Delivers professional presentations to current and potential customers.
Ensures communications are consistent with the brand in all internal and external interactions.
Monitors activities to ensure that internal controls are in place and effective to minimise financial risk.
Acts and communicates with integrity in all client dealings, ensuring that all promises made can be and are delivered and meet clients expectations.
Visits customer sites during work progress, addressing issues as they arise.
Provides timely and accurate updates to sales forecasts and present findings to line manager.
Compliance
Ensures all operational activity and practices are completed in a timely manner and in line with Programmed standards, policies, procedures and legislative requirements
Estimating
Ensures a disciplined approach is taken in regards to pricing and margin control.
Ensures all spending is in line with authority matrix. Seeks approval from line manager as required.
Reviews measures and estimates by others and makes recommendations for improvement.
Skills And Experience
To be successful in this challenging but rewarding role you will require:
- Experience as a building professional
- Previous experience managing site based teams
- A keen eye for detail and a can do attitude
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders both internally and externally
- Strong negotiation and sales skills
- Experience in high volume works under $100K preferred, but more important is your experience managing people and projects
