The Opportunity
QMAG Pty Limited is one of the world's largest producers of raw magnesite, Coarse Calcined, Deadburned and Electrofused Magnesia used for the global agricultural, refractory and chemical markets. Magnesite is mined at our Kunwarara Operation; transported and further processed at our Parkhurst Site, then shipped and exported globally. We are seeking a Logisitics Administration Officer to join our Logistics Team based at our Parkhurst Site.
About You
Your knowledge and skills are vital to your success in this role. Your experience will also include:

To deliver excellence in service to all stakeholders, and to provide support to the Supply Chain & Logistics team and manage adhoc activities as required.
About The Role
As the Logistics Administration Officer, you will:

  • Support Logistics finance and budgeting processes
  • Prepare all purchase requisitions in SAP
  • Vendor invoice auditing, interrogation, and reconciliation
  • Process vendor invoices in SAP
  • Work with vendors to resolve disputes
  • Ownership of our Chain of Responsibility processes and management
  • To participate in Chain of Responsibility, Quality, and other business audits
  • Investigate and initiate appropriate actions for incidents, near misses, hazards and breaches of policy and procedure
  • Conduct regular spot audits on vendors as set out by the Logistics Supervisor, or Head of Supply Chain and Logistics
  • To actively initiate, contribute to and participate in recommendations for work improvement opportunities
  • To actively participate in self-performance management and personal skill development
  • To work cooperatively with own team and other teams to achieve metrics and goals

The Requirements
We are looking for someone who can provide the following to our organisation:

  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and internal functions (Health Safety & Environment, Finance, Operational Support, Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing and Production)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, written and verbal skills
  • Have a positive attitude that is responsive, respectful, fair, inclusive, and enthusiastic
  • Be willing to complete all QMAG internal training requirements, and externa training programs offered from time to time
  • Undertake all activities and tasks in accordance with all QMAG policies, procedures, and systems
  • Willingness to behave in line with all QMAG key behaviours and policies
  • Willingness to act as a Health, Safety & Environment leader
  • To be able to communicate and share information both in written and verbal form to all stakeholders
  • Have intermediate level of competence in computer systems such as the Microsoft and SAP
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Very good numeric and literacy skills
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Excellent Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of supply agreements and contracts
  • Ability to work under pressure and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and problem solve.
