The purpose of the Costing Lead | Financial Accountant position is to provide support, guidance, and advice to departments regarding product costing. This is a fulltime permanent position based at our Parkhurst processing plant.

About The Role

As the Costing Lead, you will be required to:

  • Month end financial reporting tasks, including general ledger maintenance in SAP and analytical commentary.
  • Preparation of journals, accruals & prepayments
  • EOM Stock valuation and costing in SAP.
  • Ensure correct alignment & treatment of costs in P&L (e.g., Capital identification, correct cost allocation)
  • Facilitate annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  • Provide support to the business with Business Case analysis.
  • Provide operational support to managers & leadership.
  • Review maintenance & production work orders to ensure integrity of process.
  • Provide assistance with valuation of inventories including stockpiles and work in progress.

The Requirements

We are looking for people with the following:

  • Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business
  • CPA/CA qualification or actively working towards completing it.
  • Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • BI Experience
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and ability to engage across multiple stakeholders.
  • An understanding of product costing using SAP or knowledge in SAP
