The role of Site Services – Boilermaker is to provide bag house and screen maintenance (rotex screens), general site minor maintenance and groundskeeping. This position is not a full-time Boilermaker role and would be ideal for someone looking for a change from the full-time boilermaking trade. The trade rates still apply. The role consists of a 9.5-hour workday, four days a week.

The Role

The role of Site Services – Boilermaker will include, among other responsibilities:

  • Comply with all QMAG Policies and Procedures and promote health and safety within crew.
  • Reporting of any unsafe conditions and hazards
  • Review and implementation of the Quality System in the work area adhering to FEMAS
  • Encourage process/plant improvement projects.
  • Provide positive input to all crew pre-start, toolbox, and safety meetings.
  • Use of JRA’s, TAKE 5’s and work permits to always ensure safe work.
  • Time management & communication skills and promote teamwork within the crew.
  • Assist in the monitoring & management of housekeeping.
  • Complete PM tasks as required.
  • Conduct leak repairs as required, adhering to site procedures.

The Requirements

We are looking for people with the following:

  • Must hold a trade qualification in Boilermaking
  • Hold a current Queensland manual driver’s license or in the process of obtaining within the next 3 months.
  • Gantry Crane (desirable)
  • Bobcat (desirable)
  • Forklift (required)
