Your Opportunity
We have a permanent full time Development Technical Officer role now available in our Developer Services team!
Developer Services plays an essential role in enabling the development of our communities and providing safe drinking water while protecting the environment and public health by providing world class sewerage services.
In this role you will assess Standard Connection Water Approval applications, build over asset referrals and related services for development to ensure effective and efficient water and wastewater networks. You will also provide technical guidance to colleagues and customers on the interpretation and application of policies, processes and procedures within timeframes and to resolving queries and issues.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
Assess Standard Connection Water Approval applications and Build over asset referrals in accordance with relevant legislation, policy, codes and processes.
Produce, update and provide best practice assessment of water and wastewater network, infrastructure requirements and impacts associated with proposed Standard Connection Water Approval applications and Build over asset related referrals.
Assess Standard Connection Water Approvals and Building Act proposals such as build over asset referrals using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems and procedures.
Help manage clients by providing advice, carrying out standard activities and providing support to others.
About You
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:
Builds strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions.
Can provide technical guidance when required on interpreting and applying knowledge of laws, regulations and policies.
Uses clear and effective verbal communications skills and provides technical guidance when required on expressing ideas, requesting actions and formulating plans or policies.
Previous experience using procedures/ systems, development planning or engineering.
