Your Opportunity
We have a permanent full time Project Manager opportunity in our Infrastructure Planning & Delivery group.
The Infrastructure Planning and Delivery Group contributes to Urban Utilities’ purpose and vision and enhances the liveability of our communities through safeguarding financial and economic sustainability of the business, planning to meet the needs of our customers and management of the long-term water cycle and our environmental responsibilities.
Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, the Project Manager will manage and deliver a 5-year capital program across the region through an integrated capital delivery framework. Accountable for the efficient “end to end" design and delivery of program and project solutions identified in Strategic Business Cases, Renewal programs or emergent works.
Some of your accountabilities will include:
Demonstrates visible safety leadership with a presence on construction sites and championing safe behaviours. Working closely with our integrated partners to ensure safety performance is understood, insights are gained with lessons learnt being shared and good performance celebrated.
Support the governance and management of capital program, supporting the implementation and on-going operation of a capital program organisation, ensuring delivery of effective services/resources in line with current and planned demand.
Support the development of integrated partnerships to maximize the opportunity for enhanced solution delivery and innovation using a contemporary Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Framework.
Manage relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, delivery partners, external contractors, customers and the community to ensure program and project outcomes are met in the solutions development and delivery phase and expectations are managed.
Drive a culture of innovation across Urban Utilities integrated Delivery Partners. Challenging the status quo, driving sustainability and customer value into project investment lifecycle decision making, to ensure achievement of Urban Utilities’ strategic goals.
About You
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills, and experiences:
Degree qualifications from a recognised institution together with significant relevant industry knowledge and experience.
Demonstrated general knowledge of the relevant Workplace Health and Safety Act and regulations, Environmental Protection Act (experience or exposure to a “Safety II” approach highly desirable)
Significant knowledge and experience in applying project management methodologies to deliver large infrastructure programs and projects from initiation to commissioning and handover.
Proven experience in a similar role on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), Open Book, Performance Incentivised delivery frameworks or similar contract models.
Knowledge and understanding of current direction and issues in the utility and allied industries and working knowledge of Australian and industry standards relevant to water/wastewater.
