Communications and Marketing Coordinator
Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity
Based in Melbourne, as the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in executing communications and designing multi-channel campaigns which amplify the voices of RANZCOG, its members and trainees, and the communities they serve. You will support the delivery of all communications and marketing activities, including (but not limited to) social media management, content creation, email marketing, media relations, and reporting. This role offers a chance to contribute to meaningful initiatives that will create lasting impact within women’s health in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Communications and Marketing Lead with executing communications and marketing activities to promote a variety of initiatives across the College.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies and plans.
- Liaise with internal and external collaborators to develop and refine communications strategies and collateral.
- Create impactful visual content for a variety of communications channels, and audiences (including social media, website, and publications), to engage with members and the public, and promote College events, initiatives, and advocacy activities.
- Copywriting for social media, EDMs, newsletters, press releases, speeches, web articles, brochures, reports, presentations, and publications.
- Support social media management.
- Produce EDM campaigns and the College’s e-newsletters using Mailchimp.
- Daily media monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain the College’s communications and content calendars.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite for design and video editing.
- Track and report on social media and EDM performance using analytics tools.
- Attend and provide communications support for events, including creating promotional materials.
- Support and provide assistance to other members of the Membership and Engagement directorate, when required.
- Other responsibilities as delegated by the Communications and Marketing Lead, within the scope of this position.
Ko wai koe | About you - Key Selection Criteria
- 2-3 years’ experience in a generalist marketing and/ or communications role.
- A broad set of skills and experience spanning a variety of responsibilities in the fields of marketing and communications, and a desire to continue your development as a communications generalist.
- Experience managing organisational social media accounts and executing multichannel communications campaigns.
- Creative and driven communicator with strong writing skills and a knack for crafting compelling narratives that engage and inspire.
- Exceptional writing and verbal skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner and draft clear, concise content.
- Experience editing, and proofreading nonfiction work, liaising with subject matter experts to produce polished work for publication.
- Experience and versatility in adapting messages to different platforms and audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, collaborate, and interact with colleagues, members, trainees, and other partners.
- The ability to think creatively and generate innovative ideas for campaigns, content, and strategies.
- Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in the development and delivery of marketing and communications collateral.
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting on effectiveness of digital marketing and communications projects.
- An eye for good design, and basic design skills. Photography and/ or videography skills an asset.
- Experience with producing and editing video content.
- Proficiency with communication tools, digital platforms, and creative software is essential. (ie. Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing software, social media platforms and scheduling software).
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, team environment.
- Comfortable working autonomously with the ability to take on responsibility and use initiative to prioritise and work effectively, under pressure and under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with health issues and a basic understanding of the women’s health environment in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
