V&V Lead Engineer
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer, V&V. In this role you will work under the direction of the V&V Manager and be responsible for the management of a team of V&V Engineers. There will be a requirement for you to undertake planning activities, conduct of and documentation of verification activities for a subset of the V&V program. You will also be responsible for the management of the delivery to the customer of contract deliverables including VCRMs, test procedures and test reports.
It is likely that there will be significant periods of travel interstate and internationally, ability to undertake this travel is essential.
The general duties of the V&V Lead include, but not limited to:
- Ensure that all of the contractually required V&V activities and artefacts are successfully conducted and delivered;
- Manage the maintenance the Verification Cross Reference Matrix to define and record all verification activities;
- Manage team to deliver allocated sections of the verification program in accordance with the approved project Verification Plan, and the project Systems Engineering Management Plan;
- Track and report on the overall status of compliance against the Contract Specification requirements;
- Participate in and prepare V&V status updates as input to Program status reports;
- Support the development and maintenance of V&V documentation i.e. developing test procedures, manage test articles, updating test plans, procedures and reports;
- Support system engineering efforts for design and development;
- Participates in reviews of systems and elements under development to ensure traceability of requirements compliance through verification and validation, when required;
- Manage in the preparation and delivery of V&V input to data packs and Mandated System Review packs to support systems engineering and project management functions.
- Manage the delivery of V&V responsibilities of RDA FRACAS process
- Fulfil other duties and responsibilities that may be required as determined with your manager from time to time.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical) or a related discipline;
- Experience in conducting complex military vehicle or automotive test programs, including development of verification plans, verification procedures and verification reports;
- Experience in interpreting complex engineering function and performance specifications, and a capacity to identify existing technical solutions to meet these specifications;
- Experience in managing delivery of test programs
- Experience in personnel management
- Ability to travel interstate and internationally
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
