About the Role
The Senior Engineer, Systems provides technical leadership for the delivery of the Systems Engineering Program of an allocated program within technical, cost and schedule constraints. Duties and responsibilities include:
- Define and implement a systems engineering program, including requirements definition, allocation, decomposition and change management over the engineering lifecycle;
- Develop and maintain assigned Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) items, including the Systems Engineering Management Plan and System and Sub-system Specifications;
- Coordinate the development of material for the delivery of Mandated System Reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, DDR);
- Refine/update existing planning data related to Systems Engineering scope, including basis of estimates, work breakdown structure and schedule;
- Report progress and challenges of Systems Engineering activities against technical, schedule and cost requirements;
- Perform Requirements Engineering in DOORS;
- Ensure Systems Engineering related risks and dependencies are identified and actively mitigated;
- Develop and maintain an effective relationships with various program stakeholders, including internal stakeholders, suppliers and the Commonwealth;
- Support coordination of Systems Engineering (including Specialty Engineering) activities and prioritisation between the Australian and German engineering teams;
- Support engineering oversight of subcontractors and/or suppliers work scope to ensure successful delivery;
- Support mentoring and development of the Systems Engineering team;
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering field;
- 7+ Years industry experience;
- Excellent written English communication skills;
- Demonstrated experience in the systems engineering lifecycle;
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Standards (EIA-632 or ISO/IEC 15288);
- Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 (Australian Citizenship required).
