We are currently looking for a motivated Maintenance Technician – Plant Access Coordinator, to join our Operations team in the Kosciuszko Region based in Jindabyne, NSW.
This role is based on a 9 day fortnight, (not FIFO or DIDO) with a Requirement to reside within 30 minutes of Jindabyne township.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing assigned operational and maintenance tasks on plant and equipment including routine maintenance, defect maintenance, isolating, restoring, operating and commissioning of HV plant and equipment, as well as developing and reviewing isolation/restoration programs to address identified risks and hazards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

An electrical (Preferred) or mechanical trade background or equivalent, with relevant High Voltage operational experience preferred

Previous experience in an operations role within utilities or process environments.

Post trade qualifications will be advantageous to this role including HV switching, diploma or generator operations training

Technical knowledge of a variety of apparatus and plant associated with heavy industry, together with strong analytical and research skills

Knowledge of maintenance program requirements, analysis techniques and maintenance management practices

Ability to obtain authorisation to isolate, restore and perform maintenance in accordance with Snowy Hydro Access Rules, Policies and Procedures

Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of personnel including stakeholders, employees, management and contractors

Proficient computer skills including experience with maintenance management systems ie:Ellipse, SCADA, microsoft or google applications

Knowledge of WHS, EEO and Environmental Policies and standards

Requirement to participate in a rotating on-call roster
