If you are passionate about creating brilliant internal comms (both written and visual) through a variety of channels, then we have the role for you! This is a BRAND NEW role that allows you to be innovative, creative, and contribute to building a great brand internally with our employees.

About Us

At Sportsbet, we’re united behind our purpose to “Bring Excitement to Life” for our 2 million customers (and growing!). We do this by over-delivering through our commitment to fun, challenging the status quo and living our values. As part of the Flutter Group, we’re a global player, but in Melbourne, Sydney and Darwin we’re a tight knit group of 1,300 teammates (of which over half are in our Tech and Data Science teams!).

We are a significant contributor to the Australian economy through racing and sporting codes and we are committed to having a positive impact in society by supporting our customers, our communities and our employees. Our commitment to responsible gambling is genuine and demonstrated through the wide range of responsible gambling initiatives and tools.

In 2023, we were a recipient of LinkedIn’s Top 25 Companies for our focus on career development and awarded the Top 10 Workplaces for Women through Work180. Our commitment to making Sportsbet the best place to work is never-ending.

About The Role

Reporting into the Head of Internal Communications & Workplace Experience, this role will help deliver unique and creative internal communications for Sportsbet’s people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and creating content that will communicate big initiatives and bring our brand to life internally in a fun, social and interactive way.

You will manage our internal comms channels (Slack, Newsletter, Intranet etc) and content planning process. You’ll be a go-getter who has an eye on trends, feels comfortable coming up with new ways of doing things, and can get up to speed with the big Sporting and Racing days (SuperBowl, AFL season launch, Melbourne Cup). You’ll also provide great support to the wider Internal Comms team.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various internal platforms to make sure our people are informed and engaged.
  • Manage our content planning process and calendar, involving key stakeholder groups.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, key sporting and racing moments, and best practices in internal comms so that our comms are always on point.
  • Manage our key ways of communicating with our people: The Kick Off (fortnightly newsletter), Slack announcements, SportsNet (intranet) news.
  • Analyse data to measure the effectiveness of our channels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Be the internal Brand champion and provide design and video support for the wider People + Culture team.

Please note, this is a 12 month fixed term contact.

The Perks

We work hard and play hard, so along with a competitive salary, here’s some of our other perks:

  • 25 days annual leave (that’s right, a whole extra week!)
  • Weekly concierge service including free massages, manicure/nail appointments – all onsite!
  • Daily fresh fruit, free breakfast, sparkling water and Kombucha on tap in the office (did we mention we have a bar fridge for Thursday night drinks!?)
  • End of trip facilities with an onsite table tennis and pool table

Given our Christmas shutdown period, this role will close on Sunday 12th January 2025 with shortlisting commencing the week of 13th Jan. Be sure to check out our Life@Sportsbet Instagram page, Sportsbet LinkedIn page as well our careers website for more information and insight into our culture.
