Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our thriving Carrara office to focus on the design, construction, operation and maintenance of machines and mechanical systems for engineering projects in our Water Division. You will work under the general direction of a Senior Engineer and be responsible for a small project or part of a project/ operation requiring a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
The Water Engineer is responsible for:
Use knowledge of general concepts of mechanical engineering elements through investigation and analysis to support engineering projects.
Perform basic calculations to analyse and design mechanical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Assist team in preparing mechanical designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.
Assist in basic interpretation and verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.
Work with other engineering disciplines and professionals in the coordination of the project under the direction of a senior engineer.
Assist the team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
Perform field work related to installation related activities as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
To be successful for this role you'll present:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering with an emphasis on Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Highly developed interpersonal skills to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients.
Highly developed consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes.
Have full Australian Working rights.
