Stanwell’s Tarong Power Stations are a supplier for energy solutions to Queensland, the National Electricity Market and large energy users throughout Australia. Located 15 mins drive from Nanango and 30 mins drive from Kingaroy.

About the role

This is a full time opportunity located at the Tarong Power Station in the South Burnett.

The purpose of the Tool Store Officer position is to oversee the general operation of the tool store including storage, lending, testing, calibration and replacement of tools and equipment. It is also responsible for ensuring onsite tooling and consumables are available in good repair and quantities as appropriate to support productive works and minimise disruptions to work team activities.

Key activities include:

  • Manage the issuing, receipting, repairing, bar-coding and following up return of all tools from the Tool Store.
  • Oversee the onsite stock and inventory requirements for the consumable store and bolt racks.
  • Optimise inventory, catalogue goods effectively and minimise inventory loss.
  • Provide tooling information and recommendations including all hand, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and special tools.
  • Complete accurate data entry, record keeping, stocktake and auditing activities on a day-to-day basis, and when required.
  • Monitor consumable usage and make recommendations where possible for optimisation.

About you

The following qualifications and skills are required:

  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations, or equivalent experience
  • Current drivers license
  • Forklift operators ticket (HR vehicle license) (desirable)
  • Rigger and/or dogman ticket (desirable)
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a warehousing role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of a range of mechanical and electrical tooling and associated consumable goods.
  • Knowledge and ability to use Store or Tools Management Software (MOTS System desirable).
