About the role

This is a full time 12-month fixed term opportunity located in Brisbane CBD.

A great opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive People & Culture team and have fun along the way! You will manage a select client portfolio across the corporate function including Finance and Energy Markets. This role offers a good mix of all People & Culture related work and matters across the HR lifecycle and could be just the opportunity for you to demonstrate your broad expertise in the HR business partnering remit.

The People and Culture Advisor plays a pivotal role in providing high quality people and culture services to their designated business areas, showing alignment with Stanwell’s goals, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The People and Culture Advisor leads and coordinates key people and culture programs throughout the year, contributing to the development, engagement, and retention of the workforce.

Key activities include:

  • Manage a select client portfolio across the corporate function including Finance and Energy Markets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for designated business areas, providing proactive and responsive people and culture support.
  • Partner with leaders to understand workforce needs, offering advice and solutions across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching and guidance to leaders to enhance their people management capabilities.
  • Provide advice and support on employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with workplace legislation, Awards, Stanwell’s Enterprise Agreements, policies and procedures.

About you

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, including workforce change management and business partnering.
  • Experience providing general HR advice and services in a multi-disciplined, complex working environment including exposure / understanding of working in a unionised workforce.
  • Effective at coaching, influencing, and advising leaders to plan for and facilitate performance processes to ensure Stanwell’s values and workplace culture are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Proficiency in HRIS Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to co-ordinate workforce change processes, including role and structure design, evaluations, and consultation (desirable).
  • A degree in HR or Industrial Relations preferred or equivalent experience.
