We are seeking a Senior Analyst for our M&A and Subsidiary performance division. This position is responsible for identifying, valuing and performing due diligence on acquisition targets and execution of post-acquisition on-boarding and subsequent oversight including financial and operational improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform valuations of prospective acquisitions.
  • Negotiate terms of each transaction.
  • Undertake all aspects of due diligence including primary responsibility for financial and operational streams and project management of other streams with input from subject matter experts – Legal, HR and compliance.
  • Prepare sale transaction documents in conjunction with General Counsel.
  • Establish and maintain performance monitoring frameworks.
  • Implement reporting to successfully monitor financial and non-financial.
  • Provide guidance to subsidiaries in the development of their business strategies.

Skills and Knowledge

  • 5+ years transaction services experience as a professional accountant, lawyer or analyst specialising in valuation methodologies, due diligence procedures and legal contract preparation.
  • Strong understanding of insurance intermediaries, their key business drivers and how to influence same
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory and compliance requirements of insurance intermediaries.
  • Strong understanding of the risks and business drivers of SME and privately owned businesses.
  • Experience in developing business strategies and plans.
  • Clear and effective communication skills including presenting to C-Suite.
  • Strong financial and strategic acumen.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and resilience for the purposes of valuation and contract negotiation.
