The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the planning and scheduling of routine, preventative and corrective maintenance activities associated with water storage and distribution assets.

An integral part of the operational leadership team, the position will ensure an appropriate level of engagement across multidiscipline work groups to ensure works are prioritised and delivered efficiently and to meet customer service standards and legislative WH&S requirements. Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Create, implement and monitor the scheduling for routine operations, preventative and corrective maintenance works to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
  • Undertake planning duties including the creation, updating and recording of notifications, scheduling and assigning of work orders, compilation of work instructions and work packs, recording and review of work orders and asset history.
  • Schedule and coordinate all mandatory inspections (Lifting, Fire extinguishers, Test & Tag, Cranes/Hoists, Instrumentation, survey equipment, Forklift and EWP).
  • Create and maintain a defect and corrective work list which details required information, risk and priority.
  • Co-ordinate changes to asset master data and supplying to the Asset Management Group in the required format to facilitate changes to master data.
  • Provide support and assistance with the co-ordination of logistics including the purchase of materials and allocation of resources to meet work program milestones and timeframes.

About you

We are looking for someone with relevant engineering degree, diploma, trade or asset management qualification or relevant industry experience and 5 years experience in a planning or scheduling role within a similar environment. In addition, you will have:

  • Proven organisational skills and competence in planning, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring work programs, resources and associated logistics
  • Have the ability to manage a demanding workload while working in a changing environment.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work effectively within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, excel, database, asset maintenance management software (e.g./ SAP) and project management software (e.g./ MS Project)
  • Previous experience with SAP Fiori and Viziya highly desirable
