Join Sunwater as Project Controls Lead, where you’ll play a vital role in developing and maintaining project control processes, standards, tools, and systems to ensure the successful delivery of programs and projects within scope, schedule, and budget. You will be responsible for the management of the detailed planning, analysis, control and reporting across multiple projects in accordance with the Sunwater Portfolio, Program and Project Management Framework (P3MF).

As the Project Controls Lead at Sunwater, you will:

  • Coach, mentor and oversee the Project controls team ensuring accurate reporting, timely outputs and active commitment to achieving project objectives.
  • Lead the compliance to P3MF and IDD Controls procedures and processes including Schedule, Cost, Change, Risk Management.
  • Drive the development of Sunwater’s project control systems/owners' requirements to ensure transparent and accurate contractors' schedule/cost and risk reporting Lead the implementation of EVM across all project phases, including the development of suitable Rules of Credit for different projects/phases.
  • Lead the setup of all projects in Project control Systems (P6-Contruent-@Risk) to ensure the implementation of best practices for integrated schedule, cost and risk management across all projects.

We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in leading a team of Project Controls professionals and driving continuous improvement of project controls policies and processes. You will hold tertiary qualifications in fields such as accounting, commerce or engineering and ideally have 10 years+ industry experience in a complex and diverse environment as it relates to infrastructure planning and delivery. You will also bring:

  • Systems expertise: Advanced skills using the following PM systems including Primavera P6, Contruent-ARES PRISM cost control tool, SAP and @Risk
  • Strategic vision: Ability to design and deliver project, program, portfolio improvement strategies and programs
  • Communication skills: Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute effectively as a team member and build effective working relationships and positively influence the actions of Project Managers to drive behavioural change and performance improvement
