As a Senior Financial Accountant at Swyftx, you will have the opportunity to build processes, collaborate cross functionally, and play a key role in the team’s ability to scale. Please note, this is a Brisbane-based role with a hybrid working model. You’ll spend two days each week in our beautiful Milton office, with the flexibility to choose between working from home or the office for the remaining three days, depending on your preference.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Prepare end-of-month closing processes, including relevant journals and reconciliations Ensure general ledger integrity to facilitate accurate and timely financial reporting Lead the development and enhancement of consolidation processes and reporting for a multi-entity group Manage group accounts and intercompany accounts, including eliminations Process related party transactions and ensure reconciliation of accounts Develop and document accounting position papers and ensure appropriate accounting policies are applied Prepare annual group financial statements and supporting schedules Provide support during internal and external audits Prepare tax affect accounting journals and assist in the preparation of income tax returns Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve inquiries related to financial matters, providing solutions-based approaches and initiatives to future-proof financial operations and procedures
To be successful you will have:
Possess an accounting degree and hold a CA or CPA qualification, accompanied by demonstrated post-qualification experience Extensive experience with consolidation processes, particularly within multi-entity environments, with international experience being beneficial but not essential The capability to work independently, coupled with a robust foundation in consolidation reporting and income tax Outstanding communication skills and a collaborative working approach, fostering effective collaboration with finance and business stakeholders Analytical, with a strong eye for detail and a high level of financial acumen to achieve accurate and timely reporting of group results Effective time management skills, the capacity to meet deadlines, and the ability to operate efficiently under time constraints in a dynamic environment Proficiency in accounting software systems, with a preference for experience in Netsuite
