We deliver power to Tasmanians. Our vision is to be trusted by our customers to deliver today and create a better tomorrow.

We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

Band 4 – salary range $88,641 - $125,141 per annum (plus super)

Are you passionate about communicating clearly and creatively? Do you want to dive into exciting projects where you'll work closely with our Field Operations and other technical teams to bring their knowledge to life?

We’re offering a 10-month opportunity as a Technical Design and Content Partner, where you’ll play a key role in creating top-tier internal communications for our internal and external Field Teams. You'll work on everything from writing procedures and work instructions, and you’ll have the opportunity to produce videos and other engaging media too.

You don’t need to have any technical experience – we have our Field Operation and Engineering experts for that! What we need is your brilliant ability to communicate clearly and concisely, transforming complex information into simple, effective content.

What’s in it for you?

Flexibility: You’ll have the ability to work remotely or from any of our offices.

Getting out and about: You’ll be required to head into field or to our Training Centre to gather footage for our media products and get a basic understanding about the tasks and skills you’ll be writing about.

Networking: Build strong relationships across our Field Operations Team, as well as with our internal Engineering and HSEQ teams, and our external contractors.

Growth: Get a front-row seat to what our Field Operations teams do on the ground. You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of the essential work that keeps TasNetworks running smoothly - a valuable skill to have in our industry.

About you

To be successful in this role you will work autonomously and offer sound judgement and decision making skills, with the ability to listen, communicate and decipher information from a variety of sources.

You will have experience in project management or content writing (or similar), with relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in technical writing and/or communications.

Attention to detail is key, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Your ability to build and maintain effective relationships across relevant business areas, drawing upon your experience in managing end to end production of multimedia content to influence where required will see you succeed in this role.

What's on offer

This is a fixed term (10 month) opportunity, offering an attractive remuneration and benefits package.

At TasNetworks we want to power a bright future for our people, our community and our customers. We offer a supportive work environment where safety is at the heart of everything we do.
