Contracts Manager

We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.
About the role
Band 5 – Salary Range $104,284 - $147,238 per annum (plus Super)
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Commercial team in a newly created role of Commercial Manager.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for fostering and maintaining strong customer relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for all commercial matters. You will support the negotiation and finalisation of commercial agreements, and ensure key stakeholders are well-informed about their rights and responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include -
- Designing and implementing effective contract management processes
- Building a reporting system from the ground up
- Preparing detailed reports on the performance of our revenue contracts
About you
To be successful for this role, you will have extensive experience with progressively responsible roles that demonstrate quantifiable results in contract negotiation, administration, or management, along with a bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
You will have demonstrated strong negotiation, research, analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with robust skills in the Microsoft Office suite and possess a working knowledge of contract management systems.
Proficiency in digital tools will be highly advantageous, particularly using SAP software and SharePoint.
As building and maintaining relationships is key to the success of this role, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
