We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead a fresh vision for delivering exceptional service experiences, from the initial design and implementation of a distribution account management framework to building strong business relationships with large complex customers.

The role supports development and continuous improvement within the team, working collaboratively across relevant areas of the business to remain at the forefront of operational requirements and deliver customer solutions.

About you

You will be an engaging, personable leader with demonstrated experience in leading commercial sales/customer focussed teams (ideally within a similar industry/complex environment).

You’ll bring:

  • The ability to influence and collaborate across organisational boundaries for optimal outcomes.
  • A proven track record in building and managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving positive outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to engage diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Exceptional skills in contract management, negotiation, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with industry trends, standards and technical requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a related field and a deep understanding of the energy sector, including factors influencing network growth and customer needs (highly valued).
  • Available for intrastate travel as required
