We deliver power to Tasmanians. Our vision is to be trusted by our customers to deliver today and create a better tomorrow.

We own, operate and maintain the electricity transmission and distribution network in Tasmania. We deliver a safe, cost-effective and reliable electricity supply to more than 295,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers. We facilitate the transfer of electricity between Victoria and Tasmania via Basslink, the sub-sea electricity interconnector. We also provide telecommunications and technology services.

About the role

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic leader who is looking to drive innovative projects for the electricity network in Tasmania!

As the Network Innovation Leader at TasNetworks, you will lead the delivery of key innovation projects that will enhance the performance of our electricity distribution network and prepare our network for the future – whether it is to adapt for electric vehicles, batteries or other new technologies.

You will have the opportunity to turn our strategy into an innovation roadmap and see it through into delivery. You’ll achieve this by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring projects deliver value to the business and its customers through on-time and on-budget delivery.

You will be leading a high performing team of experts, providing direction on emerging opportunities within the network, and driving successful outcomes through a program of innovation trials and projects.

If you are looking to shine with the ability to translate your innovative vision through to delivery, we encourage your application today!

About you

You will offer strong leadership abilities, with proven experience influencing and driving a range of strategic innovative outcomes.

Your experience in managing projects, timeframes and budgets, combined with an ability to build strong relationships across the business will see you succeed in this role.

You will demonstrate an ability to identify opportunities, drawing upon your technical and commercial knowledge and collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Holding tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering or commerce, your demonstrated experience (and understanding of technical issues associated with operating a power network) in a similar role and industry will be highly regarded.
