About Your Role
Thales Australia provides logistics services expertise to our customer, the Australian Defence Force. Thales will train and qualify you to work in each area of our logistics business including, storage, maintenance and distribution.
We are seeking a Depot Operations Supervisor to assist the Site Manager - Darwin to manage the Services Operations in accordance with the Contract Statement of Work (SOW) and Performance Management Framework, to ensure safety, compliance and customer service.
- Ensure the depot operates within appropriate guidelines and that all staff are aware of and follow Thales and contracted Defence procedures
- Manage and coordinate resupply of stock for the Depot
- Apply and oversee the application of the Safety Management System
- In conjunction with the Site Manager, manage the development of staff to meet operational and administrative requirements, including the delivery of training where appropriate
- Assist in providing direction in the training and development of all staff
- Enforce and/or seek guidance on the application of the Thales Australia Quality Management System
- Oversight of the application of the Environmental Management Plan
- Coordinate the prompt reporting and investigation of all incidents and near misses
- Review and act on KPI’s and business reports
- Manage Security requirements for operations in accordance
- Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of relevant reports and documentation
- Assist the Site Manager in maintaining and developing effective organizational systems and procedures, with the aim of improving depot efficiency and effectiveness
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and involvement to all matters relating to HSE
How About You?
- Diploma level in Logistics / Diploma of Public Safety or relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Proven experience in personnel management as well as knowledge of the supply chain
- Knowledge in the Defence or Logistics industry would be highly advantageous
