About Your Role
Thales Australia provides logistics services expertise to our customer, the Australian Defence Force.
We are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Depot Operations Supervisor to lead our team of ~15 in warehousing and distribution. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our depot operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse on a day-to-day basis.
Your main focus will be on managing inventory, coordinating shipments, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
We are seeking a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Manage and coordinate resupply of stock for the Depot
- Apply and oversee the application of the Safety Management System
- In conjunction with the Site Manager, manage the development of staff to meet operational and administrative requirements, including the delivery of training where appropriate
- Coordinate the prompt reporting and investigation of all incidents and near misses
- Review and act on KPI’s and business reports
- Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of relevant reports and documentation
- Assist the Site Manager in maintaining and developing effective organizational systems and procedures, with the aim of improving depot efficiency and effectiveness
- Demonstrate a personal commitment and involvement to all matters relating to HSE
How About You?
- Diploma level in Logistics / Diploma of Public Safety or relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience within a similar role
- Proven experience in personnel management as well as knowledge of the supply chain
- Knowledge in the Defence or Logistics industry would be highly advantageous
