In this exciting role, you will be part of the Communications and Corporate Affairs team of Thales Australia reporting to the Director Communications Thales Australia and New Zealand (TANZ).
The Communications and Corporate Affairs team is a small, proactive and highly visible central team, providing support across the business in areas such as Corporate Affairs, Branding and Reputation, Corporate Social Responsibility (ESG), Thought Leadership and External and Internal communication.
In this exciting role, you will be in charge of the development, maintenance and delivery of strategic communications and thought leadership initiatives that support the TANZ Brand and Brand Values, and enhance the company's brand and reputation internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and manage communications plans, frameworks and policies to increase brand awareness and recognition of the Thales Values aligned to the Thales Purpose, enhancing the Thales Australia reputation
Develop, manage and support communications strategy and activities within the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (e.g. Safety & Security, Veterans support, ESG, STEM and Diversity and Inclusion (including gender equity))
Develop content for social media, websites, newsletters, press releases and any other external distribution channels
Support the creation, management and implementation of thought leadership campaigns focussed on brand and reputation positioning
Develop and produce high-quality, informative, and interesting press releases, press kits, and related materials for local and national media
Deliver on Event Management when required
Supports the delivery of key business sponsorship events and activities
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a similar industry
Experience in content management and managing social platforms to drive strategy, growth of channels and engagement of followers
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers and partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A can-do attitude and creative thinking mindset
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Strongly focused and self-motivated
Flexibility to Interstate and international travel and weekend work when required
