About the role
Our Protected Vehicles business is currently seeking an Inventory Analyst to continue to strengthen the methodology to model the inventory usage throughout the department. This is achieved through the development of forecasts to predict inventory usage to ensure our contractual obligations to our customer are met.
This position is available as the previous employee has progressed to another role within the team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Supply Chain Master Data and Compliance Manager, your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Developing and maintaining inventory models that
Forecast the throughput of our inventory
That allow for predicting sparing requirements
To suggest safety stock levels at PRV sites
Model upcoming projects and platforms
Updating forecasted usage to be used in
Contract negotiation with suppliers
Managing obsolescence within the business
Developing and finding solutions to balance organisational issues with customer requirements/requests
Identifying obsolete or slow-moving stock and potential solutions
How about you?
Industry qualification or training (highly regarded)
Inventory management or analyst experience
Spares provisioning and/or obsolescence
Statistical or other inventory modelling – preferably in Excel
Exposure to large ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, Etc.
Knowledge and experience in quality management systems, quality assurance and control
