As part of our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business, our Protected Vehicles team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We have an excellent opportunity to join us as a Quality Officer to join our Protected Vehicles business, working with highly dedicated and passionate team. The purpose of this position is to ensure all Quality Control (QC) observation techniques and checking activities, used to fulfil requirements for quality, are conducted in accordance with Thales Australia Policies and Procedures and/or contractual documentation. You will also play an important role in the implementation of a failure detection system that uses testing techniques and where appropriate inspection activities to identify errors or flaws in products at specified intervals, to ensure that the products/services meet the requirements as defined during the earlier process for Quality Assurance (QA).
How About You?
Must have a Trade Certificate, e.g. Mechanic or Fitter. Certificate 4 in Competitive Systems and Practices (Manufacturing) would be desirable.
At least 5 years’ experience in a maintenance/manufacturing environment with an ability to read technical drawings and process sheets.
Have a good understanding of quality systems and demonstrated experience in the use and interpretation of ISO 9001:2015.
An understanding and experience in the use of ERP systems and their applications.
Have experience with MS Office Suite of applications, e.g. word, excel, access.
Ability to work in a fast pace and changing environment and ensure that processes and procedures are continually optimised to meet the demands of a customer focussed organisation.
