About Your Role:
There has been an unprecedented growth in demand for Bushmaster and Hawkei vehicles, both locally and from international partners. This is an exciting time to join the Vehicles and Tactical Systems (VTS) business unit and Protected Vehicles (PRV) sub-group, which is responsible for engineering these amazing vehicles. Join the growing team successfully delivering this world class capability and become an integral part of enhancing and optimising the application of systems engineering practice across the VTS-PRV group.
As part of our VTS business, our PRV team is primarily focused on the design, manufacture, delivery and support of protected mobility vehicles on a global scale. We are very proud of everything we do in support of both the Bushmaster and Hawkei platforms as we all work together towards our purpose of building a future we can all trust.
We have a new opportunity available to join us a Systems Engineer where you will be responsible to perform systems engineering activities required to develop a solution or product. In this role, you will be working in Systems Engineering and IVVQ activities with interdisciplinary teams covering all aspects of the ‘V model’ as applied to the manufacturing of PRV vehicles.

Define and Specify requirements for our life saving Bushmaster and Hawkei platforms.
Support and guide system/integration solutions through the full product life cycle to ensure requirements again acceptance.
Author Systems Specifications, Verification Cross-Reference Matrixes, Product Breakdown Structures.
Apply Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools and modelling methodologies to define system functions, requirements and interfaces, modernised engineering techniques and methodologies such as LEAN manufacturing and Agile within a Systems Engineering context.
Prepare and perform the solution or product integration, verification and validation tests.
Contribute to application of systems engineering ‘best practices’, though optimal execution of assigned tasks and contribute to the enhancing the of systems engineering capability across the PRV-VTS business, by recommending optimisation of tools, processes, techniques and methodologies.
How About You?
You enjoy balancing Top-Down (abstract) and Bottom-Up (detailed) approaches in engineering solutions and can work with colleagues with these views.
You are able to adapt and react to change to work in an agile systems engineering environment to understand a problem and provide optimal solution options in terms of size, scale and complexity.
You know what a design-to-cost approach means and can quickly preform a cost-benefit analysis to different methodologies before executing a systems engineering task.
You are familiar with management and engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, JIRA.
You are interested in broadening your horizons and growing towards senior roles such as Senior Engineer and in the longer term such as; Product Design Authority (PDA), System Architect and System/Solution Engineering Manager (SEM).
You preferably have experienced some combination of the following areas in your practice; Defence, Land Domain, Manufacturing, Vehicles, V-Model lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
