OUR TEAM

Our Above Water Systems team provides engineering & maintenance services to Royal Australian Navy vessels and commercial ships. We’re proud to bolster Australia’s sovereign capability through operational support to our defence partners. YOUR ROLE

Working centrally in Woolloomooloo's Garden Island, on Gadigal land you will be working in our Technical & Weapon System department you will gain exposure to naval weapons and radar mechanical systems.

During this traineeship you will gain experience in:

  • Assisting with the repairs, installation, testing and commissioning of mechanical/electrical equipment and systems in surface and sub-surface Naval vessels

  • Assisting with the fault analysis of commercial and military electrical/mechanical weapons equipment and systems

  • Carry out repairs to electrical/mechanical systems

  • Assisting in installation of all types of naval equipment

YOUR EXPERIENCE

We’re looking for individuals that want to take the next step in their career working on interesting naval weapons and radar mechanical systems.

Here are a few other prerequisites:

  • Completion of Certificate III Mechanical Trade

  • Great communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people
