Chief Information Security Officer
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the CISO is responsible for the strategic direction to increase The Star cyber maturity and day to day operational management of all aspects of information security and systems continuity associated with key business systems, applications, information assets, communications (voice and data) and computing services within the corporation. This role has direct accountability for governance over technology risks, systems recovery, audit finding resolution and compliance monitoring and adherence. You will lead and manage the emerging cyber risks, strategic framework and execution towards transitioning into a completely cashless operating model by August 2024.

Key responsibilities
- Report and present directly to the Board the strategic Cybersecurity Roadmap that aligns to organisational priorities, emerging threats, compliance and regulatory requirements and delivers increased maturity score
- Development and maintenance of Groups overall information security and continuity strategy that will encompass computer systems, technology infrastructure, information assets, application development and technology services.
- Manage the development and implementation of security and continuity policies, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of the strategy. This includes compliance with relevant Australian guidelines, standards and regulatory obligations
- Work with corporate and divisional executives to drive information security programs and projects that ensure ongoing compliance against security and continuity strategy, policies and standards, and minimise risk to the business. Further to ensure that compliance is evident to internal audit, external audit and/or regulatory authorities (ILGA, OLGR, PCIDSS and others).

To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Proven CISO experience having led enterprise scale transformational initiatives across a group
- Demonstrated experience in the oversight of IT risk reporting to Senior Executive and presenting to Governance Boards
- Accredited tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology, Business or a related discipline (CISM, CISSP, SABSA or CCSK).
- Demonstrated strong analytical and complex problem solving skills in high pressure situations
- Strong understanding of all guidelines, standards and legislation influencing IT Security and Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery.
- Experience in the execution of corporate strategies with a strong risk management mindset
