What you'll contribute to

An excellent opportunity has come up for a suitably qualified Product Planning Specialist to join our Product Planning & Development division in a Max Term role until 31st July 2026.

The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all product activities in order to ensure new products are optimised to meet the future needs of customers.

The Product Planning Specialist (Commercial Vehicles) is primarily responsible for supporting the development of model line-ups for Toyota Commercial vehicles in order to bring to market highly desirable products that maximise TMCA and Dealer profitability and achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.

This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer.

How you'll make an impact

  • Implement agreed commercial product planning processes and procedures consistent with set policies to achieve customer satisfaction, sales and profitability objectives.
  • Assist in the development of product planning processes and procedures for commercial vehicles to maximise product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales and profitability.
  • Contribute to the development of model line-up and grade specifications for commercial vehicles based on available market and product research information to maximise product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales and profitability. Capture findings and proposals in papers for stakeholder communication.
  • Regularly report to stakeholders on the status of all projects, identifying progress and issues. Recommend activities to resolve issues.
  • Prepare vehicle information, review clarity and validate accuracy of technical content of product planning and marketing materials to ensure accurate product information is available for all stakeholders.
  • Maintain reporting systems in order to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.

Your attributes - If you've got one or more, we'd love to hear from you!

  • Degree qualification in engineering, marketing, business or economics or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years' accumulative marketing or product planning experience (ideally in automotive industry)
  • Understanding of automotive systems and technical terms
  • Understanding of sales and marketing process
  • Experience in market research and cost planning financial analysis
