What you'll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safety Coordinator, to join our Aftersales division in a Max Term role for 2 years.
The Aftersales Division is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all national parts and accessories activities, including sales, business development, procurement, supplier management, dealer support, and warehouse operations. Its goal is to achieve sales volume, market share, and profitability objectives, while optimizing warehouse operations to meet global best standards.
The Safety Coordinator is primarily responsible for coordinating activities and initiatives that align with the Safety Business Plan for the new Toyota Parts Centre (TPC), aiming to foster Toyota's strong safety culture of zero harm and ensure compliance with National OH&S standards. Additionally, this role will support Management in implementing training and engagement initiatives that enhance participation and self-awareness of safety standards in relation to the new TPC facility and its operations.
This position will initially be based in Acacia Ridge and then move to the new TPC facility in Crestmead, Brisbane in July 2025.
How you'll make an impact
- Execute established safety systems, processes, and procedures in accordance with set policies to achieve safety objectives.
- Assist in developing policies and standards for the implementation and fit-out of the new Toyota Parts Centre facility (TPC), with the aim of identifying continuous improvement (kaizen) opportunities for safety improvements in layout, operations, and materials.
- Maintain reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information that supports planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Monitor and analyze performance against targets and recommends corrective actions when necessary.
- Develop Safety forums for new TPC. Lead all training to all team members and new starters.
- Monitor and facilitate safety meetings to ensure clear communication of safety KPI plans, Accident Investigation reporting, progress, and issues to all stakeholders.
- Ensure that TPC self-assessments and audits are completed to identify gaps and collaborate with project management and supervision to develop the countermeasure activity schedule.
Your attributes
- Degree or qualification in OH&S or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of cumulative experience in a similar safety role.
- Experience in occupational health and safety roles, preferably within a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Understanding of warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
