We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time People and Culture Officer to work in our office in Capalaba, on the Redlands Coast. Join our team of Journey Makers at Transdev Queensland and make a real difference to improving the lives of people travelling on our buses within Brisbane. Transdev Queensland provides passenger bus and school services within the Redland City region with the vision of “Connecting Communities”.


The Opportunity

The People and Culture Officer will play a key role in the success of Transdev Queensland. It will predominantly involve managing the recruitment and selection process end-to-end for our new Bus Drivers, as well as supporting the Training team with administrating the Learning Management System and providing operational advice and support on general human resources matters.


Your day might include:

  • Managing the recruitment and selection process end-to-end, mainly for Bus Drivers

  • Providing on-boarding and off-boarding support to managers ensuring a best practice employee experience

  • Providing day-to-day generalist support and assistance to employees on general queries

  • Providing advice to managers on policies and procedures and the application of enterprise agreements

  • Contributing to the cyclical reporting requirements for key stakeholders

  • Proactively supporting and coordinating the delivery of key projects and programs

  • Assisting in the delivery of People and Culture initiatives as part of the Transdev Queensland Business Plan


Your Talent:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline

  • Previous experience in People and Culture in Talent Acquisition or a similar role

  • Sound knowledge of contemporary Human Resources practices and relevant legislation

  • Exceptional time management, planning and organisational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills enabling you to build strong relationships with your stakeholders

  • Good IT skills and the ability to navigate systems

  • A service-oriented attitude with great attention to detail

  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
