About Transdev

Transdev is an international leader in mobility at the service of communities. We design and operate public transport networks - buses, coaches, trams, trains, shared bikes, ferries, and more - to empower freedom to move everyday thanks to safe, reliable and innovative solutions that serve the common good. Whatever your role is at Transdev, you contribute to improving the mobility of our customers, and the positive impact this can have on their lives, their community and our environment; and that’s why we are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible workforce which reflects the community and the customers we serve.

The role

As part of our continued growth including the recent opening of Parramatta Light Rail, we are seeking a talented and passionate Accountant to join our Finance team based in our Head Office in Sydney. In addition to supporting both our Sydney and Parramatta Light Rail networks, you will have the opportunity to work with our Bus business in Queensland. There will be a focus on our month-end process across those entities, as well as assisting in the preparation of quarterly and year end accounts. This will include preparing journals, completion of monthly reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies. As part of your growth you will work on ad-hoc financial projects and business initiatives as required.

What you bring

In addition to your tertiary qualifications (Finance, Commerce or related) your background will include 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role. This will be supported by strong month end reporting skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline driven business whilst maintaining compliance and quality of responses / attention to detail. You will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Given the nature of the role you will have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be proficient in financial software (Microsoft Dynamics 365 pref).

The benefits for you

In return, we offer competitive pay and benefits and a positive culture that embraces diversity and employee feedback. We genuinely invest in our people and the work you carry out at Transdev touches the lives of your family, friends and future generations alike. Working in a growing, global business will provide diverse career experiences for you to make your mark, push boundaries and reach your maximum potential.
