The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the HumeLink project team and be responsible for the project control function required to deliver the Major Project Program of works.
Reporting to the Commercial & Controls Director, you will work closely with the functional leads from Integration, Engineering Design, Construction, Stakeholder, Environment, Commercial and Land teams.
You will be an experienced Project Controls Manager with the ability to coordinate the required project works, whilst also having the responsibility of integrating the Primavera P6, InEight and EcoSys suite of project controls and leading staff members to provide progress reporting including schedules, forecasts, variance identification, risk management, document controls and quality assurance & governance.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level or substantial equivalent.
- Diploma level Project Management qualification (advanced diploma desirable) and recognised by the PM body e.g. PMI, AIPM.
- Minimum 10 years’ professional experience as a project controls manager or proven equivalent experience in a similar role.
- Effective communicator within team and with other business unit stakeholders
- Proven experience to utilise critical project management concepts (e.g. EVM, project planning, risk analysis, configuration management).
- Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule.
- Significant track record working on large infrastructure projects.
- Significant experience in delivering an integrated schedule.
- Proven Track record in Risk Management (Qualitative and Quantitative)
- Demonstrated capability in driving and supporting decisions on different levels, through the information and analysis driven out from the schedule and associated metrics.
- Demonstrated experience in the administration and analysis of cost, schedule, scope and risk in an Earned Value Management based project environment.
- Experience using Ms Project and Primavera 6.
- Experience in leading a team of professionals
- Ability to conduct high level and deep dive project reviews and identify systemic issues within the program, and the solutions needed to address them.
- Experience and skill in prioritising and managing multiple projects/tasks.
- Experience in setting up a PMO.
- Experience using an enterprise Program and Portfolio management systems, MS Office with advanced Excel skills.
