About the role

We're seeking a Tax Consultant to provide technical tax advice and support the business across various matters, including projects, financing and tax compliance.

You'll join an innovative team, who navigate the complexities of the Australian tax system to provide advice and technical expertise to our business.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Get involved in delivering on tax compliance and reporting requirements for a portfolio of entities, gaining experience across various business areas and tax matters
  • Collaborate with the broader business outside the tax function to achieve desired business outcomes
  • Undertake research and prepare tax technical papers for internal review
  • Understand and be able to explain tax related implications and technical terms to non-tax technical stakeholders
  • Work with an experienced team to evolve the tax function through identifying areas for increased efficiency through the use of technology




This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

  • Experience in the tax or business services team in a mid-tier chartered accounting firm
  • Alternatively, you have had experience in a similar role in an in-house tax function
  • CA/CPA or TIA qualified, or in the process of qualifying
  • Strong tax technical knowledge and experience with tax compliance and tax effect accounting reporting.
  • Experience in any areas of transfer pricing, GST, FBT and other indirect taxes will be well regarded
  • A natural problem solver and people person, you'll communicate well with colleagues and stakeholders and will contribute to a strong team culture
  • Juggling multiple priorities concurrently is your niche, you do this with ease and know how to ensure everyone has everything they need, and on time
  • You are naturally inquisitive and enjoy complexity - you want to understand our business and ensure our stakeholders have reliable tax information in making decisions
