About the role

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role involves a variety of occupational therapy services provided to NDIS/Homecare participants.

Some regular duties include:

  • Administering OT assessments across our dynamic caseloads
  • Working in the school, community, and home environments
  • Provision of therapy which are tailored to Homecare participants to promote best outcomes
  • Doing Functional Capacity Assessments / Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation assessments
  • Assistive Technology Assessments for specialised equipment prescription
  • Completing progress notes/documentation
  • Manual Handling training and education
  • Pressure care education and therapy
  • Sensory assessments and sensory integration focused interventions
  • Opportunity to work in Paediatrics space
  • Therapy and rehabilitation including capacity building interventions for daily living skills
  • Falls Prevention
  • Home modifications (minor and complex home modifications)

We welcome Occupational Therapists interested in enhancing their skills in the NDIS space, as our team includes experienced leaders and supervisors ready to provide support & training in this area.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has a Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or equivalent approved by AHPRA –Full Registration
  • Has a valid Drivers’ license and reliable vehicle
  • Possesses a Professional indemnity insurance, or is willing to obtain it
  • Has a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or is willing to obtain it
  • Has a 2024 Flu Vaccine Certificate, or is willing to obtain it
  • Has a COVID vaccine certificate, or is willing to obtain it
  • Has the ability to work independently in a remote team environment
  • Has experience and skills in NDIS, prescription of assistive technology and home modifications preferred.
