About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Team Leader Treatment Design within our Engineering team. You will lead a talented team of engineers to undertake, manage and support the efficient delivery of design of our water resource recovery assets across WA. As a technical leader, you’ll also provide technical support and advice to planners, designers, constructors and operators as well as having input into our design standards. This role is based in our Leederville office reporting to the Manager - Design Treatment Electrical & Mechanical.

What the role will involve
- Lead and manage a team undertaking engineering design of allocated infrastructure assets
- Plan and manage the delivery of engineering designs and reports for the solution of engineering problems using in-house or external resources
- Monitor performance of consulting engineers so that designs are completed within agreed time and budget constraints and incorporates good practice
- Provide input to enable the development and continuous improvement of best practice systems associated with design
- Facilitate the development and deployment of people to ensure that the nominated Engineering team has the capability to deliver their objectives
Key skills and experience
- Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline or relevant equivalent
- Professional engineering experience in water resource recovery infrastructure planning and design
- Demonstrated experience in and relevant knowledge of design or project management, and in the preparation and review of complex technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to mentor, collaborate, negotiate and influence both internal and external stakeholders
- Team leadership experience, notably in the design and delivery of water resource recovery infrastructure will be desirable
