Preferred Location:Albury. We are also open to having the successful candidate be based anywhere in NSW where we have a WaterNSW office, with a willingness for state-wide travel.
Salary range starting from: $131,851.00 + Super
Tenure: Full Time, Permanent
What we are looking for:

Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives

A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and value

Tertiary qualification (bachelor level or above) or equivalent experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Current NSW Drivers Licence.

Knowledge of different construction contract types and implications from a contract administration perspective along with good financial practices and processes.

Strong commercial acumen to identify benefits, opportunities and trade-offs to be made when formulating and executing business cases, project plans and contract negotiations.

Extensive contract management and Project Management experience.
-
Experience in the management of end-to-end contract process, from drafting and negotiation to performance monitoring and closeout, with a proven ability to manage a range of different stakeholders and they’re potentially conflicting needs to obtain agreement on actions and outcomes.

What you will work on:

Contract Development & Negotiation: manage, drive and negotiate contract delivery, facilities management, and rural contracts to drive cost improvement initiatives. Negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms, partnering with Procurement to ensure all new contracts are accurately drafted and reflect WaterNSW's needs and legal obligations.

Financial & Performance Reporting: track performance to ensure that contracts deliver expected financial returns and adherence to budgetary constraints and preparing performance reports, with recommendations on pricing, competitiveness and performance.

Risk Management & Compliance: identify commercial risks and opportunities with the Contract Program, ensuring WaterNSW and its Stakeholders benefit from sound decisions made by assessing and addressing these within a timely manner, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations and WaterNSW's policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Management: maintain strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders (e.g. area managers, projects, dam safety) to facilitate smooth contract negotiations and act as a key point of contact for resolving complex issues and/or disputes, escalations, or contract breaches in a timely and professional manner, whilst ensuring alignment with WaterNSW's goals to foster longterm partnerships.

Contract Closeout: manage the contract close out process by ensuring that all deliverables are completed, resolving any outstanding issues and confirming proper documentation and compliance.

Process Improvement & Best Practices: analyse contract management performance and outcomes to identify lessons learned and make recommendations for process improvements. Contribute to knowledge sharing and the ongoing development of contract management processes, systems and workflows, ensuring efficiency and alignment with industry standards.
