We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement Coordinator at our Perth CBD office, on a permanent full-tme basis.

About this role

As the Community Engagement Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of best practice approaches in sustainability assessment and community engagement across Western Power’s operations. This position is critical in the provision of practical support for stakeholder and community engagement processes, which will ultimately enhance stakeholder understanding and engagement regarding Western Power’s new infrastructure and maintenance projects.

About you

We’re seeking someone from within our workforce with experience and attributes that include:

  • Bachelor Degree in Communication or related discipline
  • At least 3+ years’ experience with event coordination, organisation and management
  • Experience with the development of communication material including, but not limited to, bulletins, reports, promotion material, speeches, newsletters and other publications associated with business objectives
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to identify, manage and escalate risks and issues, specific to the position
