Our Opportunity
This is an 8 month fixed term contract Warehouse Storeperson role in which you will assist the team in meeting its goals in regards to safety, quality, production, cost and continuous improvement. All team members are expected to support the team managers and supervisors in the functions they perform to achieve the team goals.
The Warehouse Storeperson dedicated to accurately handle all stores processes such as receipt, storage, pick, pack and distribution as well as the movement of material between the Warehouse and Production Line both physically and transactionally.
Responsibilities
Maintain stock levels within the storage areas accurately and with care
Manage and issue inventory to support production utilising Warehouse Management Systems and Barcode Scanners
Kitting of stock for production purposes and replenishment of Kanban areas
Receipting inward goods through to Pick, Pack and Dispatch operations
Conduct cycle counts on inventory
About You
Relevant qualifications or warehousing experience
Knowledge and experience within a manufacturing setting (advantageous)
Previous experience in database management and stock control
Full drivers licence (essential) and also Forklift licence (essential), and dogging/crane tickets (desirable)
Strong communication skill capable of working well in a team
Exposure to or knowledge of LEAN manufacturing methodology advantageous
Special Requirements
The position is dependent on the candidate eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
You will also need to successfully clear a medical, police check, references and employment history checks.
