Meet the speakers
Viktoria Bakos
City Build Manager, Rochdale
Viktoria graduated in Communication and Media from University of Pecs in Hungary and moved to the UK six years ago. She first fell in love with engineering when she worked on some projects as an Area Manager at Amazon. Soon she decided to change career and started as an engineering Area Manager in the Fibre industry. That’s when Viktoria knew she landed in an industry she wanted to work in long term. In her free time she likes hiking (learning how to climb a telegraph pole helped a lot in that), or spending time with her cat. Yes, she’s a crazy cat lady!
Donna McClung
City Build Manager, Preston and Blackpool
Donna has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 15 years. Although the industry has been male dominated for a long time, as the years have gone by, she is seeing more and more women join the industry. Donna is very passionate about her cities and her teams and loves working for CityFibre because of it’s inclusive and empowering nature. As well as being a City Build Manager, she is a mum to 2 boy and 2 girls. She loves showing her daughters that there are opportunities for women within all industries.
Sumbal Chunara
ESG Reporting Lead
Sumbal has been at CityFibre for almost a year working within Responsible Business. During her time at CityFibre, she has had exposure to Ethics and Environment & Sustainability (ESG). Sumbal is passionate about Diversity & Inclusion, and is an active member of the D&I network and their stories, and strongly believes in connections made through shared vulnerability.
Joanne Henson
Network Build Resourcing Lead
Jo is an experienced recruiter having worked in a number of industries for nearly 10 years, it’s fair to say she has reviewed 1000’s of CVs in this time, from the weird and mysterious to the absolutely brilliant and talented. What she loves about CityFibre is their passion about growing their own and giving opportunities to people outside the Telecoms industry – not just graduates but individuals looking to change careers. Jo is also part of the Gender Network at CityFibre. In her spare time, you’ll find her planning her next adventure, or baking lemon drizzle cake to bribe colleagues into doing her favours!
Liz Dean
Head of Marketing, Planning and Operations
A marketing leader with over 10 years’ experience, passionate about people and curious about how things work. Liz Dean is a creative and commercially minded, multi-channel marketeer experienced in engaging and exciting consumer audiences, having worked across a variety of industries and now CityFibre, as Head of Marketing: Planning & Operations.
