About the role

In this role, you will provide accurate, efficient, and timely accounting, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting services that meet service level agreements to the departments and senior management on a monthly, half yearly and annual basis. These services will be provided in accordance with accepted Australian and International accounting standards, policies, controls, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, efficient and timely reports on a monthly, half yearly and annual basis
  • Prepare general ledger account balances, account reconciliations, monthly actual and forecast reports, including compilation and variance analysis of department financials
  • Review accounting data and journals to prepare account reconciliations, initiate corrective actions as required and follow up outstanding balances
  • Assist the team with preparation of the Business unit consolidated annual budget

About you

You will be a strong communicator who is able to influence the business effectively. You will have a focus on problem solving resulting in a positive commercial outcome. As this role involves the use of systems, you will have the ability to pick up processes quickly.

Key skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting (or in final years at university)
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion of the qualification
  • Some experience in an accounting and reporting based role
  • Working experience with financial information processing systems/applications, ideally SAP
