We are now seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to join our Regional Projects & Construction team on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Manager: Projects & Construction, this role will be accountable for leading and supervising contractors on site for scope, time and quality compliance as well as ensuring that works are carried out safely in accordance with site procedures.


This is a fixed term role, based on site, with travel required to both Tropicana and Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster. We operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:

  • Safety accountability for contractors on site working on projects, ensuring compliance to safety systems and that risk management practices are being followed.
  • Scope management of projects – reviewing design drawings, scopes of work and carrying out detailed planning for site execution according to project plans.
  • Schedule management – reviewing project schedules against site requirements, ensuring schedule compliance and monitoring and reporting on progress.
  • Cost management – Managing works based on either lump sum or schedule of rates contracts, identifying cost saving opportunities and synergies between work packages and contractors across sites.
  • Quality management – QA/QC according to approved Quality Management Plans. Tracking progress of completed works check sheets and ensuring compliance to design. Site stakeholder handovers and engagement, including punchlisting, walkdowns and construction verification.
  • Contractor management – mobilisation of contractors, review of project management plans and following up on contractual requirements during project execution.
  • Site integration – working with site teams to ensure works are planned in within existing planning routines, Shutdowns, and minimise production impact from project work. Communication with all stakeholders on progress and potential interactions.

About You

  • Prior experience in a similar role within brownfields/ greenfields mine site Construction Management and Project Management.
  • Familiarity with the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
  • A Trade Certificate with Structural, Mechanical and Piping or Electrical and Instrumentation core skills.
  • Cross discipline exposure in managing civil, earthworks and electrical crews highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with using SAP and iSIMS will be highly regarded but is not essential.
  • A current ‘C’ class drivers license.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Ongoing permanent work rights in Australia are mandatory.
