At AusNet, we’re the link between renewable energy sources and local communities, playing a key role in the clean energy transition and providing essential energy to every Victorian family.

Help us lead the way, while enriching your career with real people who encourage you to bring your best and make real impact – for your career, our communities, and Australia’s cleaner energy future.

Purposeful work with genuinely good people. That’s refreshing.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Land Transaction Coordinator to take the driver’s seat and provide assistance in negotiating land transactions for the Western Renewables Link project, which is contributing toward the energy transition. This opportunity will contribute to the once-in-a-lifetime energy transition by managing correspondence in commercial negotiations, seeking smooth land tenure processes for this transformative project.

If you're passionate about renewable energy, possess strong organisational and drafting skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you!

With a 3/2 Hybrid split, this role is based in Melbourne, VIC and is part of the Western Renewables Link (WRL), Development and Future Networks Team

This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Manage drafting, processing, and recording of correspondence related to contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate with various teams to provide timely responses to incoming correspondence.
  • Contribute to refining document management systems and processes.
  • Work closely with commercial, legal, and stakeholder teams for assembling contracts for major infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain processes for coordinating correspondence and documentation flow for project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on program milestones and performance accurately.
  • Ensure precise recording of commercial and financial commitments.
  • Facilitate processing of financial payments as per contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate actively to share insights, lessons learned, and successes.

You don’t need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

  • Prior experience in legal or infrastructure, utilities, or real estate industries.
  • Proven expertise in drafting correspondence, commercial terms, and managing agreements.
  • Skilled in navigating commercial agreements with emphasis on attention to detail and financial acumen.
  • Ability to handle diverse workflow, multitask, and willingness to interpret technical/legal information.
  • Proficient in managing internal partnerships and external relationships for project success.
  • Strong grasp of contracts, negotiation, legal/regulatory requirements, and commercial development.

A real place to belong

We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team. Engage and connect through our social club, family day, wide range of events or by joining one of our Employee Network Groups.

We believe in more than just competitive pay. Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Flexibility: whether this is hybrid work, flexible hours, or part time arrangements, we’ll work with you to help balance work and life.
  • Leave: more than typical personal leave and a generous 14 weeks of paid parental leave, with no minimum service.
  • Community giving: a paid day to volunteer with our social impact partner, Foodbank, or for a cause that matters to you.
  • Perks: we offer all the other perks you’ve come to expect like purchased leave, income protection insurance, novated leasing, corporate discounts, private health cover discounts and more.

As an industry in transformation, we’re excited by the possibilities ahead.

So, if you’re passionate about our purpose and committed to making real progress, bring your energy and join AusNet. Together, we can shape a new way forward.
