About the OPPORTUNITY
We have exciting opportunities for Training Coordinators to join our Aircraft, Training and Sustainment business on the Hawk Lead-in Fighter (LIF) aircraft program and the F35 program. You will be part of an inclusive and supportive team based in Williamtown (Newcastle), NSW.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for partnering with the business in contributing to, and coordinating, learning and development activities to support the business in developing a workforce that meets the current and future business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating learning and development activities
  • Deliver training, including planning and scheduling, workplace inductions, utilising contemporary learning and assessment strategies, while adapting to different learning styles
  • Planning and conducting assessments
  • Monitor and provide feedback on learner progress and performance
  • Prepare training materials, undertake technical writing activities and contribute to the design and development of learning and assessment content
  • Maintaining your industry currency for the training and assessment activities you are conducting

About YOU

  • You love working with people and have the ability to negotiate with, and influence, internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships
  • Aviation technical experience and experience/knowledge in delivering technical training or learning and development
  • A Certificate IV in Aeroskills, with working aviation experience to support the various programs/projects within the business
  • B1/B2 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML) for the aircraft types within the business is desirable
  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or working towards it
  • Demonstrated experience in learning management systems and content management systems
  • Ability to create outcomes from discussions across a wide spectrum of skill, background and viewpoints
  • Ability to motivate individuals and teams in the area of learning and development
  • Well-developed ability to embrace change, learn new technologies and work under pressure coupled with exemplary problem solving skills
