As our new Senior Project Manager, you will manage a portfolio of several small to medium sized application development and transformation projects. You will contribute to the success of client engagements through your industry and consulting knowledge, leadership and project execution skills.

This role offers huge opportunities for career progression as you support the regional Director with growing the Tasmanian business.

Your future role and responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium IT and Business consulting projects.
  • Ensure the Projects meet all scope, time, budget and quality expectations and achieve Project objectives
  • Build client relationships and support business development activities, help to identify opportunities for expansion of work
  • Collaborate with clients and 3rd party vendors to plan, sell and implement solutions to customer problems
  • Identify and manage changes to requirements, whilst identifying risks for clients
  • Manage cross-functional project teams and ensure the availability of resources to support the Project
  • Support the defect management processes to ensure timely resolution of tickets
  • Attend Governance or Steering Committees and provide status reporting.

Experience required to be successful in this role:

  • Experience managing small to medium sized projects, including scope, time, cost, quality, HR, communications, cost, risk, procurement and integration (minimum 5+ years’ experience in similar role)
  • Experience managing multiple application projects and services at once
  • Significant exposure to managing project financials, internal reporting and the preparation of invoices
  • Exposure to project commercials, composing SoW, etc.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to identify opportunities and win new work with clients (consulting skills)
  • The ability to meet tight schedules and cost targets, without compromising customer requirements
  • Experience managing remote teams
  • Project Management Certifications required
  • Full permanent work rights for Australia.
