THE OPPORTUNITY

As a vital member of the Callide Leadership team, the Manager Maintenance plays a key role in ensuring smooth maintenance operations to maximise availability at optimal costs. This role focuses on executing maintenance and reliability tasks, aligning with operational strategies and our Asset Management Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely execute mechanical and electrical maintenance and activities to optimise plant reliability while managing costs effectively using validated maintenance metrics.
  • Utilise comprehensive understanding of failure causes and loss of availability to develop solutions in line with operational strategies and long-term Asset Management Plans.
  • Lead and develop high-performing multidisciplinary teams, emphasising safety, reliability, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor safety and environment performance and follows up to ensure safety incidences or audit gaps are addressed.
  • Evaluates progress on tasks and adjusts work requirements to achieve favourable outcomes.

This is a permanent, full-time position at our Callide Power station.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you will have

  • Degree level qualifications in maintenance or engineering-related discipline preferred.
  • Extensive experience in reliability and maintenance management, preferably in heavy industrial or process environments.
  • Proven track record as a strong leader with exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of power station operations and thermal processes.
  • Technical proficiency in complex infrastructure and process systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to achieve preventative maintenance goals while ensuring safety and cost control.
  • Ability to navigate change with effective communication and leadership.
  • Track record of managing costs effectively.
