About the Role 

The Delivery Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the end- to-end delivery of customer platform implementations (both hands-on delivery management and delegation to delivery team members) and contributing to the practices used in all deliveries within Entsia 

This role is accountable for delivery success and requires ownership of the customer and ownership (commercial and otherwise) of the financial and non-financial outcomes of projects and BAU implemented on the Entsia platform. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage customer projects to achieve both Entsia’s and our customer’s objectives, on time and within budget. 

  • Manage project team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. Management also includes the wellbeing, mentoring and performance monitoring of project team members. 

  • Take ownership of project estimates and project plans for all customer delivery activities. 

  • Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives and planned timeframes.    

  • Proactively anticipate, manage and resolve risks and issues, providing timely feedback to the customer and timely escalation to the Portfolio Manager where necessary. 

  • Building strong commercial relationships with Entsia’s customers including all relevant external stakeholders.  

  • Manage day-to-day customer communication and engagement as it relates to current, new and upcoming projects. 

  • Responsible for accurate delivery record keeping and working with Finance to ensure timely invoicing and related query resolution. 

  • Manage the pre-sales process including scoping new customer requests, estimating project plans, communicating with prospective customers through workshops and formal proposals.  

  • Manage the contract review and sign-off process with customers, Entsia’s internal stakeholders and Entsia’s external legal team. 

  • Hold customers to account in meeting their commitments and responsibilities and achieving a successful outcome for Entsia. 

  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement and innovation with the Delivery team and broader company. 

  • Work with internal teams on recruitment and building a diverse and inclusive team. 

  • Travel to customer premises within Australia and New Zealand as required. 

 

We’re looking for:  

  • Experience in managing both waterfall and agile software delivery projects. 

  • Experience in the successful, on-time, on-budget delivery of large and complex technology projects. 

  • Ability to think critically and demonstrated problem-solving skills. 

  • Ability to engage and clearly communicate with a variety of stakeholders at varying levels (including at Executive level, subject matter experts). 

  • Experience managing performance of project team. 

  • Leadership and change management competencies and capabilities. 

  • Commitment to action and driven to achieve results. 

  • A team player and collaborator and can focus on the achievement of team goals. 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including ability to have difficult conversations.  

  • High level of self-awareness and continually seeks to improve self. 

  • Ability to give and receive feedback. 

  • Experience working in a software development environment.  

  • Insurance industry experience (desirable).
