The Financial Modeling/Actuarial Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of financial planning modeling tools used by financial advisers to provide taxation, asset, retirement and cash flow calculations and projections for all entity types to their end clients through the advice process.

Some of the awesome things you’ll be involved with:

  • Analysis, solution design, creation and maintenance of financial modeling tools and calculators

  • Ensure work is accurate and efficient using existing or improved procedures

  • Technical review and testing of team member’s development as part of peer review

  • Building automated tests for the modeling tools to ensure ongoing quality

  • Plan and prioritise work in accordance with product strategy and business priorities

  • Robust requirements gathering from product team, clients, prospects and market research as well as documenting specifications


What you will bring:

  • Previous experience working as an Actuarial or Quantitative Analyst

  • A minimum bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science.

  • Prior experience in Quantitative and Financial modeling

  • Advanced skills of Microsoft Excel using input fields, data and projections

  • Any programming language experience desirable

  • Strong problem solving ability

  • A genuine interest in the financial advice industry and software

  • Self-motivated and enjoy working in a team environment

  • Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment
