A bit about your role

As a newcomer to the industry, you will become a Customer Field Technician located in either Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Tweed Heads and Kingscliff. In this role, you’ll be a key player in handling customer service tasks across a variety of nbn technologies. This role is designed to be self-directed, where you’ll take charge of installing, repairing, and maintaining nbn products and services.

You’ll get the chance to work in various settings, both internal and external, but your main workspace will be within the customer’s premises. If you’re ready to dive into a new industry and take on an autonomous role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Your typical day could include any or all of the below functions while delivering exceptional customer service within your role:

  • Cabling installation (copper and fibre) including jointing, jumpering and splicing
  • Customer premises installation of nbn Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
  • Fault diagnosis and repair of nbn cabling networks and nbn CPE
  • Working at heights and in confined spaces
  • These roles work between the hours of 7am to 7pm based on business needs and we encourage a flexible working environment.

A bit about you

We are on the lookout for individuals who are new to the industry and are eager to embark on a rewarding career in the telecommunications. If you have a background in but not limited to; communication cabling, electrical work, air conditioning/refrigeration, carpentry or good with power tools (Drills/ Hammer drills) and are ready to transfer those skills to a new field, we want to hear from you.

This role involves a significant amount of work at customer sites, so it’s crucial that you possess outstanding customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively and personably. We’re seeking individuals who are self-driven and motivated who can manage themselves effectively.

*Please note that a current and clean driver’s license is a must.
